9AM: 08.02.08: A RECOVERY operation is underway to find a fisherman who is believed to have fallen into the sea in Weston yesterday (Thurs).
A massive search and rescue operation, involving the RNLI, coastguard and RAF, was launched at around 3.15pm when an emergency call was made saying someone was in the water near Birnbeck Pier.
The search was called off last night after dark but the coastguard is looking along the shoreline this morning. Nothing has been found so far.
An RNLI spokesman said this morning: "This is more of a recovery operation now.
