A KNIFE-WIELDING thief threatened a shop assistant before snatching cash from the till.
The incident happened at an off licence in Severn Road last night (Tues) at around 8.15pm.
A man told a member of staff to open the till and after he was refused he walked around to the till and demanded again.
After taking the cash the man is thought to have turned right out of the shop in the direction of Drove Road.
He is described as being of mixed heritage, in his early 20s, between 5ft 11ins and 6ft, of slim build, clean shaven and with straight eyebrows.
Police believe a number of people visited the shop just before and after the incident and may have information to help with their enquiries.
