Police are appealing for witnesses after a ‘substantial sum’ of cash was stolen from a Somerset café.
Brean’s Sundowner Café, in Coast Road, was burgled sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
Burglars stole a safe which contained money.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset police said: “We were called to reports of an overnight break-in at a café in a holiday park in Brean between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
“Entry was forced to the premises and a safe was taken, which contained a substantial sum of cash.
“Anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 and quote the crime reference number 5218196581.”
