Weston-super-Mare’s MP John Penrose backed a bill to trigger Brexit last night (Wednesday).
Mr Penrose was among the 498 MPs who backed the motion to activate Article 50 and formally start the process to leave the European Union.
Wells MP James Heappey and North Somerset MP Liam Fox also backed the Prime Minister’s bill.
Dr Fox was one of the main speakers backing Brexit ahead of the EU referendum last June, and he was made Secretary of State for International Trade by Theresa May when she became Prime Minister.
Last night’s vote saw 114 MPs vote against the Brexit bill.
