A WOODEN footbridge has been repaired almost two years after it was damaged by a car.

A WOODEN footbridge has been repaired almost two years after it was damaged by a car.

The rhyne bridge off Puxton Lane was flattened by a car that had veered from the road 18 months ago.

And it became the subject of anger from village councillors in November when they demanded the footway be fixed.

But last month workmen repaired the bridge following a pay-out from the offending motorist's insurers.
