A mix-up at Bristol Airport saw a plane-load of budget airline passengers enter the country without having their passports checked.
People arriving in Bristol on the 11pm easyJet flight from Prague, in the Czech Republic, on Friday were accidentally sent through the domestic arrivals area by ground staff at the airport.
This meant they did not go through border control and did not have their passports checked.
The Mercury understands airport staff rounded up affected passengers as soon as the incident came to light, but some are believed to have left the airport with no passport check.
An airport spokesman said the error was ‘quickly addressed’ as passengers were identified and re-directed to border control.
They added: “Border force and the airport is working with the ground handling agents to provide any further training required to ensure all arriving passengers are processed correctly.”
