Burglary crackdown

POLICE were handing out ice cream shaped crime prevention leaflets on Weston beach to educate the public about burglaries in the town.

POLICE were handing out ice cream shaped crime prevention leaflets on Weston beach to educate the public about burglaries in the town.

PC Steve Burrough and Barry Kneebone, were promoting the North Somerset police initiative, Burglary - We Can Lick It, on August17.

During the summer the police see an increase in house burglaries as a result of doors and windows being left open.

PCSOs will also be visiting properties on streets where burglary has occurred to promote crime prevention.
