Burnham and Highbridge to see the return of its carnival
PUBLISHED: 13:00 01 November 2018
More than 80 carts and walking acts are set to line the streets of Highbridge and Burnham as its carnival is set to return next week.
The HBOS Carnival will see up to 30,000 people visiting the area to watch the dazzling display – which is due to take place on Monday evening.
The free procession drew in funding last year of more than £13,000 pounds which has helped with running costs of the carnival.
The route will start in Burnham’s Love Lane, passing through Victoria and High Street before finishing in Marine Drive.
Chairman of HBOS Carnival, Phil New, said: “Last year was a fantastic year with another record collection since 2016 and 2018 looks to be no different – with yet another fantastic show planned.”
The procession will take place on Monday which is due to start at around 7.30pm.
Weston’s carnival is on November 9.
