People will go to the polls and vote on a referendum for two Somerset towns tomorrow (Thursday).
Homeowners in Burnham and Highbridge will decide whether to adopt the neighbourhood plan, which outlines development needs from 2014-32 as part of Sedgemoor District Council’s planning policy.

Cllr Phil Harvey, who chaired the neighbourhood planning group, said: “Our referendum represents a significant milestone in the development of the area.
“If more than half the registered, eligible voters in the area vote yes it will have a massive positive impact on how our community lives, works and plays for the next 14 years at least.”
Electors will be able to vote at the community hall, in Berrow Road, from 7.30am-10pm today.
