A fire crew tackled a blaze in Burnham-on-Sea High Street in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a cash machine alight at 4.19am.
One crew extinguished the blaze, which was deemed to have been caused intentionally.
A spokesman said: “Avon and Somerset Constabulary reported a small fire in the open on High Street, Burnham, so one appliance was mobilised.
“On arrival the crew found a free-standing cash machine had been involved in fire.
“They used a carbon dioxide extinguisher to deal with the remaining hotspots. The police were also on scene, so crews assisted them with preserving the scene.
“It is believed the fire was started deliberately.”
