Burnham and Highbridge Town Council have appointed a new town clerk.
Samantha Winter will take up the role at the beginning of January.
Mayor, Councillor Bill Hancock said: “We’re thrilled that Sam will be joining us next year.
We will be sorry to see Tatiana leave and she has worked hard to help the Council take on new initiatives. Sam is very knowledgeable and experienced and I’m sure she will pick up the reins and help benefit the communities in both towns.”
Ms Winter currently works as the Town Clerk to Shepton Mallet Town Council, where she has worked on projects focusing on the regeneration of the town.
She said: “I am truly delighted to have been appointed Town Clerk. It’s a privilege to be given the opportunity to work for the continued improvement of the area.”
