A Burnham-on-Sea based entrepreneur has won a prestigious award after a successful first year of trading.

Shaunessy Abrahams was named the Federation of Small Businesses’ (FSB) young entrepreneur of the year for the South West after his business, Sedgemoor Caravans, in Edithmead Leisure and Park Homes, enjoyed its first 12 months of operations.

With a growing customer base throughout the West Country, 2018 will see them move into the motorhome trade.

Shaunessy said: “We’ve had an absolutely grand first year with a strong turnover which by far exceeded even my expectations.

“It’s been great to receive such support from the FSB and we are very much looking forward to the year ahead.”

Shaunessy has also been invited to attend the FSB celebrating small business awards national final later in the year.
