Rescuers were called out to help a 30ft yacht which had become beached in the Bristol Channel near Stert Island yesterday (Monday).
Volunteers with Burnham-on-Sea RNLI were paged by Milford Haven Coastguard control at 9.50pm.
The yacht was found to the west of Stert Island and the yachtsman helped the two crews to re-float his craft, before he was escorted to safe waters.
Helmsman Tim Walters said: “He was well-equipped with life jackets. We ensured he was safe and out of danger before leaving him to proceed independently.”
