A BURNHAM RNLI volunteer has been chosen as one of the top shots in the lifeboat charity’s Photographer of the Year competition.

Mike Lang, the Burnham team’s press officer, won the competition’s station category for his shot of the inshore lifeboat being recovered during a training exercise on the town’s beach.

Following the competition, whose winners were announced at the London Boat Show on Friday, Mr Lang said: “I am delighted with the news, not just for me but also for our lifeboat station and the other station volunteers.”
