Kilts and bagpipes were on show at a village hotel this week, as revellers enjoyed traditional Burns Night celebrations.
Guests flocked to Congresbury’s DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House hotel on January 20 to enjoy a celebration of Scottish culture and the life of Robert Burns.
People in attendance were treated to a rousing reception by the 10-piece Shirley Pipe Band, which played famous tunes from north of the border while haggis was served and traditional Scotch whisky was poured.
The event supported The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, with the charity showing off some of the clever canines which help people who have lost their sight.
Burns Night marks the birthday of 18th century poet Robert Burns, who created many famous tunes including Auld Lang Syne, which has become an integral part of new year celebrations.
