Lots of tartan was on show and haggis was served up to guests as Weston-super-Mare’s RNLI enjoyed a Burns Night celebration.
The fundraising committee held the traditional Scottish dinner at the Commodore Hotel in Kewstoke.
The glamorous black tie event included entertainment from two bagpipers and the traditional serving of haggis.
More than £600 was raised for the lifeboat group.
The event’s organiser, Mo Tyson, said: “It was a very successful night.
“We had 118 people turn up and fundraise and it is always our favourite night of the year.”
The evening capped a great start to 2018 for the RNLI after the co-owner of Weston’s Grand Pier gave the lifeboat group its full support for the year ahead.
The pier’s co-owner, Michelle Michael, said: “We are delighted to support this wonderful charity.
“The RNLI offers an invaluable service across our coastline.”
