The owners of a Weston restaurant which closed last year to make way for Dolphin Square have opened up a new café in the town centre.
The Oxford Café, in South Parade, opened its doors to customers last month and owner Kerry Kyriacou is looking forward to welcoming people who frequented their previous restaurant, The Oxford Corner.
MORE: Town centre restaurant closes after almost 50 years.
Kerry’s parents George and Penny Kyriacou opened The Oxford Corner in 1971, but the building was sold to the Homes and Communities Agency to make way for housing development in Dolphin Square.
Kerry said: “We are slightly different, but we’ve called it The Oxford Café to pay tribute to our previous place.
“We serve breakfasts, fish and chips, lunches, sandwiches, paninis, scones and cakes and we’re still doing our signature knickerbocker glories and banana splits.
“We are happy to be up and running again and we’re looking forward to welcoming old and new customers.”
