A breakfast to improve the links between young people’s charity and businesses was held last week.
YMCA Somerset Coast invited representatives from businesses around North Somerset to raise awareness of issues which impact the local economy.
The event allowed businesses to link up to offer better opportunities for teamwork, with more than 40 employers attending.
Chief executive Martin Hodgson said: “We wanted to offer something fresh to the county’s business networking scene.”
The event was held at the YMCA’s Barley Wood house in Wrington and head of stakeholder engagement at Hinkley Point C, David Eccles, lead a talk on working opportunities at the new development.
YMCA, a community-based charity, provides opportunities and support for young people and families across the county through its outreach work and support programmes.
