A Cheddar garage has been crowned the UK’s Garage Of The Year.
Auto–Mech Cheddar Services, in Wedmore Road, scooped up the prestigious award at the annual AutoCare trade show and gala dinner last month.
The award celebrates the garage’s excellence in digital activity, branding and customer service.
Andrew Jones, the garage’s managing director, said: “When I first established Auto-Mech back in 1992 my ambition was to bring a better service to customers from a independent garage and to be more professional than anything they had seen.
“It is truly great to see that after 25 years we have received this coveted award and it just makes us even more determined to continue the good quality service we currently provide.”
The garage will be celebrating the award with an open day on July 1. The event will run from 9am-3pm and will also celebrate the garage’s 25th anniversary.
