A day care centre for dogs has opened in St Georges.
Scott and Lucy Winstone have started their own business Play Dayz For Woofs in The Copse.
Scott said he had been thinking about opening a dog service for years, but it was only after his family got a pet of their own that he considered it seriously.
He said: “I’ve wanted to start a business of my own but I never felt brave enough to take that first step.”
After transforming their garden with a new patio and receiving approval from North Somerset Council to look after six dogs, Scott started the business.
He said the aim is to provide home boarding, where dogs will be treated as if they were Scott and Lucy’s own.
Their two children, Harry and Jack, also help out.
