AN ORGANISATION which provides a high-tech home and expert support for Weston’s fledgling businesses has been shortlisted for a national enterprise award.
The not-for-profit North Somerset Enterprise Agency (NSEA), based at The Hive on the former Weston Airfield site, is a finalist in the National Enterprise Network awards.
The ‘future of enterprise support’ category celebrates organisations which have been ‘exceptionally innovative’ in their backing of start-up firms in a tough economic climate.
NSEA chief executive Angela Hicks said: “Knowing the fantastic work that is being carried out across the UK by our fellow enterprise agencies, to be judged as an exceptionally innovative one among them is quite an astonishing accolade.
“We are thrilled to be putting North Somerset on the map in terms of enterprise achievement and this will only reinforce our commitment to ensuring that our clients enjoy the best services and support we can provide.”
