PEOPLE have been ‘queueing out the door’ to get a slice of the action at a new tearoom opened in a former village bank.
The building, in Woodborough Road in Winscombe, used to be HSBC but has now been transformed into a tearoom.
Charlotte Oliver, aged 24, applied to change the old HSBC building’s use in June.
She said: “It still had all of the bank counters so we ripped them out, put in a kitchen and installed a disabled toilet.
“We’ve had people queuing out the door and have already got regulars.
“People keep asking why we don’t have wi-fi but I don’t want to create a space where people are on their phones and not talking.
The tearooms will be open from 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-3pm on Sundays.
