A CASINO Royale-themed ball raised more than £12,500 for two charities.
Accountancy firm Butterworth Jones, based in Weston, held the ball and auction at Batch Country House in Lympsham.
Staff chose to raise money for Cots For Tots after Diana Perrett, an associate partner in the Weston office, required the special care baby unit when her daughter Lauren stopped breathing 24 hours after she was born.
Money also went to Weston General Hospital’s League of Friends.
A spokesman siad: “The amount raised was beyond our expectations and we cannot thank everyone enough for their support. We would especially like thank the partners of Butterworth Jones for their help and sponsorship which has allowed us to make this such a successful event. “We would also like to thank Toby Pinn, from Clevedon Salerooms, who presented a very entertaining and successful auction which raised nearly £4,000 towards the final total.”
