FOUR local councils welcomed more than 150 businesses to Weston this week in a bid to attract more investment to the South West.
The Winter Gardens hosted the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) event which saw North Somerset Council try to entice more business to the area.
Council leader Nigel Ashton, who is LEP vice chairman, said: “Although the four unitary authorities all face very significant financial challenges, we are keen to protect services and work closely to mitigate the impact.”
