A NEW dementia care home was handed over by developers at a ceremony in St Georges.
The ribbon was cut at Annabel Court, which has been specifically designed for dementia care, with many features such as a cinema and built around a central garden.
The care home is going to be staffed by a mixture of trained mental health nurses, general nurses, and qualified health care assistants.
The facility in Pastures Avenue has been three years in the making.
It is waiting on some more furniture and some final adjustments, but staff anticipate Annabel Court will officially open for its first residents at the beginning of June.
