A DIRECTOR at a Weston company has been elected to a board hoping to shape the direction of the British coach industry.
Amanda Harrington, sales and marketing director at Bakers Dolphin, has joined the 12-member board of the Coach Tourism Council, which lobbies the Government on issues in the tourism and travel industries.
She said: “As well as making sure our voice is heard by Government and local authorities I want to explain to people how important the industry is to the economy of the country and how coach travel is now a comfortable option for holidays providing an environmentally-sound way for people to travel in numbers.”
