THE Defra minister for farming and the environment visited Yeo Valley Organic in Blagdon as part of a tour of the region's dairy industry.
Jane Kennedy MP visited the Blagdon plant and took part in a meeting at the company's carbon neutral education centre, Will's Barn, with co-founder of the business Mary Mead, who recently won the BBC Farmer of the Year Award and her son Tim, who is now the managing director of the company.
Communications director of Yeo Valley, Graham Keating, said: "We are absolutely delighted that Jane Kennedy chose to visit Yeo Valley and observe how the company operates.
"The meeting allowed both ourselves and Mrs Kennedy to learn from each other and discuss issues that affect modern faming and the environment.
