FIFTY new jobs have been created through the opening of a new £5.1million care home near Weston’s Ashcombe Park.

The home – built by Avery Healthcare – will accommodate 60 residents, and bosses say it offers the best in clinical care and support services.

Manager Tracey Green said: “We ran a rigorous local recruitment programme and are pleased to have appointed a highly skilled team of professionals and support staff to work with us here at Acer House.

“In the coming months we will be inviting local schools, clubs, businesses and other organisations to visit us here. We want to build strong links with the local community.”
