THOSE spending Easter in Weston Hospicecare’s in-patient unit were thrilled to receive a special delivery when staff from Asda dropped off some chocolate eggs.
Asda’s Rachel Mansfield, who is also a hospice volunteer, popped in on her day off to play Easter bunny and deliver them to the Uphill-based charity.
She said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to bring Easter to the hospice.
“We like to be able to support the community in any way we can, whether that be through collections in store for local charities, or smaller, more personal gestures like this.”
Vera McNicholas (pictured), aged 74, from Balmoral Way in Worle was among those surprised by the gift from the supermarket.
