THE Weston branch of the RNLI presented ASDA with a plaque and certificate to mark its charity work for the cause.
The store in Phillips Road, Weston, chose RNLI Weston as one of its charities of 2008.
The staff raised over �4,000 by organising fund-raising days.
Events coordinator for the store, Rachel Mansfield, said: "It is wonderful that we have been able to raise this fantastic amount of money.
"It would not have been possible without the kind generosity of all our customers.
