Construction work is under way to build a new adventure barn at Puxton Park, which will host shows and events, in addition to an increased range of farm animals.

The new 30,000 square-foot development will host a pets village, which is relocating from another building in the park, offering visitors the opportunity to experience a larger and more varied range of animals on show.

The adventure barn is due to open to the public at the end of the summer.

Park boss Alistair Mead said: “We hope the barn will be open from August 1, but we don’t want to rush it, we want to get it right.”

Puxton Park claims it will be ‘one of the largest indoor adventure barns in the country.’
