SANDFORD-based cider firm Thatchers has invested more �1million in a new kegging system, which will allow it to supply customers much quicker.
The new kegging line will fill 450 kegs an hour, allowing the company to restock depleted pubs and bars at a much quicker rate. The company is also celebrating a highly successful year, after recording an increase in sales to �22.5million to the end of August, following a new listing with national pub chain J D Wetherspoon.
Managing director Martin Thatcher said: “Our new packaging facilities are amongst the most efficient in the industry.
“With the range of bottled and draught ciders that we produce, we are gaining a very loyal customer base throughout the country, who recognise and appreciate the quality and taste of Thatchers cider.”
