BRISTOL Airport has beaten off stiff competition from the likes of Heathrow and Gatwick to be named ‘Best UK Airport’ at the prestigious Business Travel Awards.
The annual ceremony saw the airport praised for its introduction of free Wi-Fi to passengers, improvements to boarding and a dedicated newsletter for passengers.
An independent panel of judges named Bristol Airport the best in the UK in front of 1,200 guests at London’s Grosvenor House on Wednesday.
Chief executive officer Robert Sinclair said: “This Award is recognition for the relationships we have built with organisations across the South West, and would not have been possible without their support.
“We will continue to develop our product for business travellers, working with airlines to offer the routes and frequencies required by the region’s businesses.”
