A trio of convenience stores in Weston and Worle owned by three brothers have been purchased by a South West-based retail firm.
The three Spar-branded stores, which are located in Milton Road, Kelston Road and Ebdon Road have been bought by Central Convenience Stores, which operates 78 other stores across the South West.
Until the sale, the shops had been owned and operated by the Parker brothers – Tony, Nigel and Adrian – for more than 30 years.
Tony Parker spoke on behalf of the brothers. He said: “We are pleased to be handing over the stores to Central Convenience Stores, who I am sure will continue to serve the local community as we have for almost 30 years.”
Tony Start, of Central Convenience Stores added: “We have been planning to enter the North Somerset retail market for some time, and these three stores in Weston have provided the perfect opportunity for us to do so.”
