Weston College has recognised one of the supporters of its construction department by giving them an award.

The college has given Spax UK Ltd a certificate of recognition.

Since September last year the company has donated screws to the college and its staff have guest-lecturered for the college’s construction students.

Curriculum manager for construction and engineering, Shaun Canniford, said: “Teaching our learners to value quality over quantity and to utilise the best materials for the project they’re working on is an important part of the courses we run.”
