HUNDREDS of North Somerset businesses have responded to a survey to help the council understand the troubles they are facing.
Earlier this year North Somerset Council carried out a survey to gain a greater insight into some of the issues and requirements of businesses and organisations.
Topics covered by the survey included transport and business support provision.
Deputy leader and executive member for economic development for North Somerset Council Councillor Elfan Ap Rees said: "As we move through the recession and 'beyond the crunch' it's vital that we have a health check on the well-being of local businesses and the results from this survey will help us do that.
"It will also highlight areas where we need to do more."
The survey was posted out to businesses, and was also available on the council's website. Responses were received from more than 700 businesses and organisations across the district.
