WESTON businessmen will be told about Conservative plans to cut red tape and bureaucracy at an event this week.
The town's MP John Penrose is to give a presentation at The Campus in Highlands Lane on Friday about the policy he has written.
His presentation will detail the party's plans to free-up companies' time and is the first of a series of events across the country.
Mr Penrose said: "I'm looking forward to laying out the details of the new policy to local businesses and seeing what they think.
"A lot of the ideas have come from the different conversations I've had with them, so I'm hoping that they'll like the changes I'm proposing."
He added that businesses are currently forced to spend a 'silly' amount of time filling in forms and some firms were struggling as a result.
The policy he drew up is written in a paper named Regulation in the Post Bureaucratic Age and claims to 'lay out the cost of red tape' to businesses.
