COFFEE drinkers have dug deep to help raise money for a charity which supports former RAF personnel.
Collections have been held by Life Coffee Cafes, a Worle-based franchise running 10 Costa Coffee shops.
In total, 1,000 was collected during June, to coincide with Armed Forces Day, and that money has now been presented to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
Life Coffee Cafes director Richard Davis said: “We wanted to support our armed forces, so with local support, we collected for the RAF Benevolent Fund, who have a respite break facility in Weston called Flowerdown House.”
Staff from the coffee chain attended the handover, taking along cakes and refreshments for residents of Flowerdown House.
