STAFF at a car company based in Weston has prepared a display lifeboat for the RNLI’s fundraising events.
Mercedes-Benz, based in Bridge Road, is donating £5 for every new and approved used car sold between now and June to the RNLI’s £300,000 campaign for a new lifeboat station.
The company has also prepared a decommissioned D Class lifeboat to go on display during the RNLI’s lifeboat pull to be held this weekend.
Pete Elmont, chair of the Weston RNLI fundraisers, said: “We are extremely grateful for the superb efforts of the Mercedes-Benz of Weston team as the boat has spruced up magnificently and will look great when we show her at events.”
