WINSCOMBE business Cleopatra’s Wardrobe held a charity fashion show which raised more than 900 for a cancer care organisation.
The Woodborough Road firm held the show at the Lyncombe Lodge Hotel in Churchill, and 903 was raised for the Penny Brohn Cancer Care centre in Pill.
Event organiser and business owner Brenda Ashford said: “I wanted to raise some much needed funds for the charity especially as my sister has cancer and attends the Penny Brohn Centre which gives her invaluable help and support at a crucial time in her life.
“We sold 100 tickets within a week, which was such a surprise to all involved.”
Raffle prizes were donated by a variety of local businesses.
