EMPLOYEES at a Weston store aimed to pedal the distance of Land’s End to John O’Groats on exercise bikes to raise money for charity.
The staff at the Wickes Store in Winterstoke Road completed 480 miles in total, raising around £600 for Leukaemia Research. Rachel Taylor, who took part in the event, said: “Everyone’s legs were aching the next day but it was good fun.” The team is trying to beat last year’s £3,000 fundraising total, and may hold a sponsored car wash later in the year.
