BAKERS Dolphin, a Weston-based coach company, has reported a rise in the number of people taking day trips instead of longer breaks.
Bakers Dolphin’s sales and marketing director Amanda Harrington said: “In the last year we have seen an increasing trend for people taking several one-day trips.
“This is especially true during the holidays when parents are constantly looking for things to do.”
Bakers Dolphin axed its London Flyer route at the end of last month, but is still focusing on day trips and tours.
The company has seen a rise in day trips from Weston-super-Mare to theme parks around the UK, rather than people having multiple days away from home.
“We find that larger families and groups in particular enjoy using our services as it means they can all travel together instead of having to take multiple cars.
