WITH days to go until the start of National Stationery Week, one village gift company is hosting a competition for local children.
The Country House Gift Company, in Woodborough Road, Winscombe, specialises in hand made gifts and cards.
A spokesman for the company said: “We are joining forces with some big names this year to support National Stationery week.
“Our competition is asking children to send us a poem they’ve written about summer - in their best handwriting, of course. We will pick three winners, who will receive a Country House Gift Company card and stationery hamper.”
National Stationery Week runs from April 27-May 3. Entrants should send their work to The Country House Gift Company, 17-19 Woodborough Road, Winscombe BS25 1AB.
