A barn in a North Somerset village could be turned into holiday accommodation for Bristol Airport passengers.

The owners of Goblin Combe Farm, in Wrington, have submitted a planning application to convert a barn on their site into a four-bedroom guesthouse.

The application states the size of the building would not change and claims the barn would fall into disrepair without any sort of commercial use.

The farm’s owners said in the design and access statement: “The barn, due to its size and position, has ceased to have a useful purpose on a modern agricultural unit save occasional storage as an agricultural barn.

“Goblin Combe Farm has operated an airport car parking service for 30 years together with bed and breakfast; this conversion will complement that service.”
