Licensing paperwork has delayed the re-opening of a popular Weston nightspot.

Pub chain JD Wetherspoon bought the Cabot 5 Bars in Knightstone Road last month.

But a 10-week refurbishment project has not yet started because a licence application has not been finalised with North Somerset Council.

A company spokesman said it was likely the opening hours at the pub would be from 8am-midnight every day.

He was unable to say when the pub will open.
