A DELI and caf� in Wedmore has been voted the best independent food shop at a regional awards show.
Pumpkin Delicatessen and Caf� won the accolade at the Taste of Somerset Awards on April 8 having been nominated by its customers.
The caf� in The Borough uses a wide range of locally-sourced food and coffee, while offering cider, cheese, bread, chutney and other goods from the surrounding area.
Owner Lisa Salter said: “It is a great achievement and the perfect way to celebrate my third anniversary at Pumpkin.
“We have some truly loyal customers who help to make Pumpkin the place to be in Wedmore whether it be for coffee, lunch or just a daily chat.”
