PET owners in one North Somerset village are now only a stone’s throw away from getting their dogs groomed.
Grrr8-furcoats has opened out of a former hairdressing salon on the corner of West Street and Church Street in Banwell. Owner Sue Burge said she has received a positive response since the store opening, with many people happy to see a new business in the village.
She said: “Many dog owners like the fact they don’t have to get in their car and drive miles, but can walk into their village and leave the animal with us to groom. It’s become popular because it increases hygiene and keeps homes clean, especially over the summer.
“We’ve had a really good response from the village so far – people don’t like to see boarded-up shops in their community.”
Mrs Burge, who lives in Worle, opened the store six weeks ago.
