PARENTS and grandparents learnt how to eat healthily and save money at the same time.
As part of XTND Wednesday parents coffee morning, held in partnership with Weston College, Sainsbury’s staff were invited in to talk to the group.
They also provided a healthy eating quiz, with prizes, at the meeting, held at Bournville Primary School in Selworthy Road.
Parents and grandparents who regularly attend the mornings were delighted and impressed by the good range of healthy foods, recipes and options available to them and were shown the savings that could be made by switching to a store’s own range.
The regular sessions are hosted by Judy Holden, Bournville’s family liaison worker, in partnership with XTND and Weston College.
