ENTERTAINMENT store Head will remain open for at least another year after negotiating a rent deal with its landlord.

The CD and DVD store in the Sovereign Shopping Centre, Weston, was set to close on January 28 and even moved out much of its stock. But after coming to an agreement over rent about two weeks ago it was confirmed that the store will be open for at least another year.

Edward Coles, acting supervisor, said: “The store is pretty popular, and it has been even busier over half-term. We’re doing quite well so we’re very happy we’re staying open.”

Jessops, Game and Clarks are among retailers who have pulled out of the town centre in recent months, with Topshop set to follow.
