GARDENERS will be able to perfect their hanging baskets after a nursery produced its own DVD.

Cleeve Nursery co-owner Felicity Down was filmed showing tricks of the trade to help people spice up their homes.

The former TV presenter, who used to co-host HTV’s weekly Garden Calendar show, gives an informative step-by-step demonstration during the half hour DVD.

The guide, filmed by local cameraman Tom Churches, was made in front of a small live audience to allow for plenty of interaction.

And Felicity’s husband Alan said although hanging baskets were traditionally prepared earlier in the year, it was still not too late to spruce up your garden.

He said: “Recent rain, far from ‘being good for gardeners’, has been a source of frustration with many people way behind with preparations for a summer of colour in the garden.

“This DVD will be a useful source of reference and a memory jogger when hanging baskets are planted up in spring and autumn every year.”
